About Us

Owner Jim Ryckman started out as an aircraft mechanic.

After transitioning to the automotive service industry, he observed practices that gave repair shops a well-deserved bad reputation. This motivated him to open up his own shop that would be centered around honesty, quality, reliability and value.

In 1995, he opened Rytek Automotive near the historic Erie Canal in Fairport, NY.

Jim wants you to know that at Rytek Automotive, you become more than just a customer. You begin a relationship that he hopes will last beyond the expiration date of your vehicle.
